Black Friday has its origins in the United States. It is celebrated on the first Friday after Thanksgiving. A year later in the city of Philadelphia, a public bulletin warned of the chaos that was taking place in the streets of the public highway due to the sales of the day after Thanksgiving and it was then that this Friday was referred to as "Black Friday".
Little by little and over the years, more countries have joined this day of promotions, even going from "Black Friday" to "Black week" extending the sales period to a week.
